Adam Levine to Cover Christina Grimmie's Funeral Expenses

Adam Levine, who coached Christina Grimmie during her time on The Voice, has offered to pay for the late singer’s funeral, along with flight expenses for Grimmie’s mother.

In a post made on Facebook, Grimmie’s brother, Marcus, revealed the news, saying that he was “blown away” by Levine’s offer. He goes on to say that the generosity seen on the GoFundMe page has rendered him speechless. Currently, over $160,000 has been raised through the crowd-funding website, far surpassing the original goal of $4,000.

Levine coached Grimmie during the sixth season of The Voice. During the show, Levine revealed that he wanted to sign her to his record label- no matter the results of the show. Grimmie would go on to finish in third place.

The 22-year old was fatally shot after a performance with Before You Exit on Friday night (June 10). The singer stayed behind for a meet and greet where she was gunned down by a deranged fan. After being rushed to a local hospital, she later succumbed to her critical injuries.
